about

While the river is flowing, the people are holidaying...

River Drive Motel is a five-room boutique motel located in the coastal town of Tarwin Lower, just a two-hour drive away from Melbourne. Tucked alongside the Tarwin River, the motel, sitting within one acre of garden offers tranquil riverside accommodation and breezy strolls to local activities. It’s a relaxed getaway for all - family, romantic or solitary.

Tarwin Lower for days! Soak in the charms of the river and enjoy the slower side of life. Go on scenic walks or take out the fishing rods. Local IGA, post office, cafe and pub are all within walking distance so you can settle right in. Hit the beach at Venus Bay just up the road. If you’re up for a daytrip, drive down to Victoria's largest coastal wilderness at Wilson's Promontory National Park.

The motel has been lovingly refurbished, featuring modern Australian design throughout.  With a nod to holiday nostalgia, the result is a cosy atmosphere for everyone to kick back, relax and make lasting memories.

River Drive is a self-contained motel. You will be given a unique code to access your room throughout your stay.  Once you are in we won't disturb you unless you need us!  Each room also has a dedicated on-site parking for your convenience.

Amenities have been thoughtfully provided. For your extra grazing needs, available for purchase in the mini bar are locally sourced wines, beer, and treats.

Relax at our much-loved garden.  Guests are invited to enjoy the outdoor space complete  with outdoor shower, BBQ's and sink for washing up all the fish you catch, along with picnic tables, other seating space on the grass and bike parking.

Guests have access to The Shed.  It’s where we keep all the fun bits such as lawn games, books, and eskies, as well as extra fridge space for all your fishing needs and a communal ice machine.  Talk about going the extra mile!
