What time can I check-in + check-out? 3pm check in, 10am check out.

Can I check-in early, or check-out late? It depends on availability at the time. Reach out and see what is possible if a later check out or early check in is required. Late checkout might incur an additional fee.

What is there to do at River Drive Motel? So Much! If you want to head out, check out our guides page on the website and in the guest book. We also recommend checking out Visit South Gippsland for a great list of local attractions. If you want to stay closer to home, River Drive Motel has a lovely garden, shared BBQ area and of course beautiful rooms to relax in. Check out our shed for lawn games or head over to the river for a stroll toward Venus Bay.

Is River Drive Motel suitable for children + infants? It sure is! Please let us know when booking if a portacot is required. You can choose the amount of adults and children in the drop down menu when you book.

Are pets allowed? Sorry, we can’t accommodate pet stays at River Drive Motel.

Where can I smoke? River Drive Motel is 100% smoke free, inside and out. Unfortunately if you need to smoke you will need to leave the property.

Do you provide bed linen and towels? We sure do!

What amenities are supplied? Check out the room inclusions on the rooms page.

Is there a hairdryer? Yes, we have a hair dryer. Check out the rooms page for each room's inclusions.

How many adults can River Drive Motel accommodate? River Drive Motel has a strict occupancy limit. Please select the amount of adults in the drop down menu when choosing your room. Please get in contact if these arrangements don’t work for your holiday.

Can I book the whole property? You sure can. Please reach out to let us know the amount of guests and a time that works.

Is there any outdoor space? River Drive Motel has a large shared garden, with a BBQ area, beautiful lawns and plenty of room to sit, read, play games or dine al fresco. Each Room has its own small patio area with chairs, tables and plants.

Are any of your properties suitable for wheelchair access? If you are in a wheelchair, please reach out and we will do our best to accommodate you. Room 1 has a walk in shower at floor level for those with minor mobility issues.

Do the properties have TV + wifi? We sure do. Each room is equipped with a smart TV and free wifi and bluetooth speaker. Check out each room's inclusions on the rooms page.

LOCATING US

Where is River Drive Motel located? River Drive Motel is located at 19 River Drive Tarwin Lower, South Gippsland. About 2 hrs South East of Melbourne.

Do I need a car when staying at River Drive Motel? Not necessarily, there is plenty to occupy your time on foot, but getting to River Drive Motel without a car is tricky. You can plan your PTV journey here however the last leg will always require a car pick up. We recommend car pooling or hiring a car if you don't have a vehicle.

How far are you from the township? We are in the middle of Tarwin Lower, however it is a sleepy town with a few essential shops. All shops are within walking distance, and we are also a quick drive or ride to Venus Bay.

What shops are there in town? The pub is next door, and an IGA a short walk up the road as is the Post office and Thirsty Work Gallery. The Bird and Wolf is a cute cafe next to IGA if you need a caffeine hit.

How far are you from Melbourne? We are approximately 2 hr drive from Melbourne.

BOOKING

I am searching for a date window, but nothing is coming up? We may be booked out on that date. We also only open the next three months ahead so if you want to visit further in the future than that then get in touch.

I have selected dates but it won't let me book? We may be booked out or it may be too far in advance. Get in touch and we will see what we can do.

Do I need to pay upfront? River Drive Motel takes the 50% payment at time of booking and 50% 7 days out, but please reach out if you would like to discuss.

Is there a bond? River Drive holds two nights accommodation as security bond at the time of check in.

I am trying to book for two nights, but it wont let me? It may not be available on one of the nights. Reach out and we can work through any issues.

MY RESERVATION

Cancellation, amendment + no show policy? Please check out our cancellation, amendment and no show policy on our T&Cs page.

Something’s come up, can I move my booking? Yes, please reach out to change your booking, however please note any changes less than 14 days out will incur a fee. Any changes less than 7 days out you will need to pay in full.

What if i have booked through Booking.com or another agent?

Please note that all agents have their own T&Cs

I seem to have been over charged? Get in contact and we can work out what's happened.

DINING OPTIONS

Is breakfast included? No, River Drive Motel is self contained and unstaffed. You can pre order a morning graze from Acacia Edibles, or pick up some essentials at IGA for breakfast in the room. We also recommend The Bird and Wolf cafe up the road, or a trip into one of the other surrounding towns.

What pantry items are supplied? River Drive Motel has salt, pepper and olive oil. There is a selection of snacks and drinks in the mini bar available for purchase. There is a selection of cooking and dining equipment plus modest cooking facilities. You can see what is provided on the rooms page.

Is there a coffee machine? No, but we have a small quantity of complimentary Dukes coffee bags and Love Tea. You can order barista coffee at Bird and Wolf cafe or in any of the other surrounding townships.

What cooking facilities are there? There are modest cooking facilities in each room. Check out the rooms page for more information of what is in each room. There are also two shared BBQs and a sink for washup in the garden.

Do you offer any in-house dining options? With seven days notice, you can pre-order grazing platters for any time of day, bread, pastries and cakes via Acacia Edibles on our eats page. The pub is right next door if you want to stay close to home. You can also pick up some great ready made meals from Trulli in Meeniyan. Check out In Room Dining HERE

GIFT VOUCHERS

Can I purchase a gift voucher? You sure can. They can be purchased on our website.

Is the digital voucher an instant download? Yes vouchers are instant, but we can also send you a hard gift card if you require it.

How long is a voucher valid for? Vouchers are valid for 3 years from date of purchase.

How do I redeem a voucher? This voucher is redeemable for accommodation and mini-bar purchases throughout the recipient's stay. All that's required to redeem the voucher is make a normal booking HERE

Once the booking confirmation email is received, simply reply with your voucher code or attach the .pdf with this email. We will deduct the amount on the voucher from the booking before any card charges are made.

If there is a remainder left on the voucher, it will remain available for use for future bookings.

EVENTS / PHOTOSHOOTS

Do you host weddings or events? If you’d like to book River Drive Motel for a wedding or special event, please reach out and we can work through what is possible. River Drive Motel is a modest size with a small capacity so please keep this in mind.

Can I do a commercial photoshoot at your property? River Drive Motel is for private accommodation only, and cannot be booked for commercial use, however if you have something special in mind, please reach out and we can see if your request can be accommodated.
