things to do in Koonwarra and Meeniyan

Head around 20 minutes north from River Drive Motel towards Leongatha, and you'll come across the charming rural towns of Koonwarra and Meeniyan.

Koonwarra

Koonwarra hosts a monthly farmers market, while the local produce store Paddlewheel stocks local fruit and vegetables, bread, eggs, and other seasonal items.

Meeniyan

Meeniyan is home to a couple of galleries and several great restaurants like Trulli and Mahob at Moo's. There's bread at Pandesal and small goods, cheeses, and wine at Trulli Pantry.

During cooler weather, a walk or cycle along the Great Southern Rail Trail that connects the two towns is a great way to spend a couple of hours.
